MENTAL HEALTH WORKGROUP

The Mental Health Work Group is responsible for improving mental health issues in TSA-E by engaging in and supporting the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and processes and enhancing communication, collaboration and alignment amongst the EDs, ED partners in care, mental health facilities, and other NCTTRAC Committees in TSA-E. In addition, they will provide a forum for NCTTRAC stakeholders and healthcare providers to openly discuss the issues and opportunities regarding behavioral health in our region.

Workgroup Responsibilities

NCTTRAC will conduct monthly meetings to facilitate communication and identify opportunities for a regional collaborative to meet patient needs in our 19-county region.  This first meeting will be introductory and exploratory among initial attendees, with an expectation for refinement of scope and invitees going forward.

Workgroup Goals

–      Create a mental health resource list to be hosted on the NCTTRAC Mental Health Workgroup webpage that will allow members to find resources for the region in one place-.

–      Provide one mental health specific professional development offering per year.

–      Collaborate with other NCTTRAC committees with Mental Health Workgroup representation to provide coalition building between committees.
