System Plans and Guidelines

Regional System Plans describe and integrate all components of the trauma, Cardiac and Stroke Systems within Trauma Service Area E.  The Plans provide for centralized coordination, activation, readiness and system responsiveness.  Plans are reviewed and evaluated annually for effectiveness and appropriateness.

2019 NCTTRAC Trauma Triage and Transport Guidelines - Effective September 16, 2019

The NCTTRAC Trauma Triage and Transport Guidelines were formed as part of the EMS/Trauma System plan based on standard guidelines for comprehensive system development, to include pre- hospital triage criteria, diversion protocols, bypass protocols, and regional trauma treatment guidelines. As such, the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council (NCTTRAC) has developed, vetted, and approved the following Trauma Triage and Transport Guidelines for use by North Central Texas EMS providers licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS). On September 16, 2019 the Board of Directors for the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council (NCTTRAC) approved the revised Trauma Triage & Transport Guidelines for Trauma Service Area E.

2019 NCTTRAC Trauma Transfer Guideline - Effective September 1, 2019

The 2019 NCTTRAC Trauma Transfer Guideline allows hospital system transfer centers to receive transfer requests directly from hospitals seeking to transfer patients to a level I or Level II trauma center.
