The Listen, Protect and Connect® psychological first aid system designed for families, neighbors, co-workers and first responders. This is the Family to Family and Neighbor to Neighbor version; a Psychological First Aid for the community helping each other.

This model is a five-step crisis response strategy designed to reduce the initial distress of children or adults to help them return to their day-to-day activities. It is not a single session recital of events, but a model that can guide the interactions of people over time through the process of recovery. This training was  customized by Merritt  Schreiber, Ph.D. for the Texas Department of State Health Services – PHR 2/3,  Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program.
